When I first build my desktop RAM prices were at the their peak. At the time 8GB of DDR4 was $100USD with a limited budget I was only able to purchase 8GB. Since then I added several HDDs and even SATA add-in card to hold my very large Plex media files in Windows Storage Spaces.
Now that I am going to be working on more productive projects and I have more than enough storage space RAM has become a bottleneck for my projects. With 8GB I barely have enough to run my host OS there for guest OS are not enough for more than one VM at a time. So I ordered an additional 16GB of DDR4. I look forward to simulating an entire lab with servers around the end of the month. We know how international shipping has been the last 12 months.
